About

My name is Amanda and I have been involved in web graphics and design for over eight years which originated from a personal hobby. I particularly enjoy drawing and experimenting with graphics.

This has given me the opportunity to design graphics and interfaces for educational software; for example, textThing and MathsBook, published by Topologika, and Story-writing Scaffolds, published by Hopscotch. I have been involved in some collaborative work with Dan Bunker - Early Years activities that revolve around an alien character called Lecky. I have also created some artwork for iBoard who produce interactive screens for primary schools.

I also have experience with multimedia authoring and digital video editing. Some of my work has involved designing and creating resources for the primary and SEN sectors, for example, producing CD-Rom projects based on model maps that included animation, video and interactive activities. Some of these resources can be found in the Activities area.

My most recent employment has been within the Higher Education sector, employed as a Learning Technologist for the University of Essex and Anglia Ruskin University. My main responsiblity in this role was supporting academic staff in the effective and appropriate use of technology in learning and teaching.
